YSL All in one BB cream review

Finally got round to doing this review!

I personally would not be that much into BB creams. Because its really hard to find one that matches my skin tone, most of the BB creams are too dark or too light, or i just end up looking really yellow. And most of the BB creams would not even cover any blemishes or redness.

I have been using this BB cream for nearly a month now, and i am obsessed with it!
This BB cream is amazing.
It comes in 3 different shades: light, medium and dark.
I use medium and its a perfect shade ( its really hard finding a bb cream for Indian/olive skin tone) . It does not make me look all yellow.

The BB cream is really moisturizing, it made my skin feel really nice and soft. It gave a fresh feeling to it.
There is a nice light fragrance to the cream, but not to overpowering.
The texture of this BB cream is very soft and smooth, its really easy to apply, and blends out really well.
It has great coverage, it covered redness and even blemishes, it will not have full coverage like a foundation, but that's the whole point of a BB cream, to moisturize the skin and provide camouflage.
It works well under a foundation  if you want that extra bit coverage for a night out or a party.

The coverage lasted on me up to 6 hours which is great. The best thing is: it doesn't set into the fine lines after a while.
It sets really well after applying.
Its was not as oily as i thought it would be, even during the day it did not make me all shiny which definitely is a plus point. For some people that have an extremely oily T-zone might have to use some setting powder just to get rid of the shine.

Price wise i do find it very expensive, it retails in Ireland for €52.00. I got it at the airport for €38.00
I personally will not buy this BB cream again, do not get me wrong, i love this product and i'm obsessed with it, but its way to expensive for my pocket its a one time buy only.

I hope you guys liked this review.

ELF Cosmetics review

ELF first impression and review

A big hello to all you makeup junkies out there!
I know its been a while since my last post, but lets not waste any time and start!
As you can see the title, you can guess what i have been upto. I ordered quite a few bits from ELF about a month ago. I was just trying them out myself and see which ones are 'oh yeah i will buy them again', and which are ' oh no'.

I bought their Mineral infused face primer.
It claims to transform face into a flawless smooth canvas.
Combats oil, flakiness, enlarged pores and fine lines.
And it gives a long lasting satin finish.
The price is 8.39

I have been using this primer for a month now, and i must say i am quite impressed with it.
A small amount goes a long way, it definitely hides my dry patches,
it is very smooth and soft when you apply it, and it does give a nice satin finish.
I wouldn't say that it helps to really hide enlarged pores or fine lines.
I would say it lasts about 5-6 hours, it does on me but every skin type is different.
But overall if you do not want to spend a huge amount on a primer i would definitely recommend this!
Its perfect for everyday wear. And i think any skin type can use this, because it did not break me out at all, and i break really easy when i use something new.

Next up are their HD blushes
These are cream blushes. They come in a bottle with a pump.
It said that they're highly pigmented and give a nice natural looking finish
The price is €5.43.

I ordered 3 colors: Showstopper, Superstar and Headliner.
And I absolutely love these blushes, they are perfect.
They're very creamy, easy to blend, very build-able.
They give a really nice natural look to the cheeks.
They do have a slight bit of shimmer, but you can not see it much.
I highly recommend these!

I'm highly into eye shadows, especially when it comes to pigments.
I got their matte and shimmery pigments.

These 3 are from their ELF STUDIO LINE
Their price is €4.77

As you can see, its a very nice packaging.
The colors are highly pigmented, these eye shadows are just perfect!
They're very easy to blend, they have a very fine texture.

And these are the shimmery ones, they were not from the studio collection.

As you can see, even these are highly pigment, very shimmery...
Perfect for a night out!
Again, really soft texture!
I can not remember the price of these, because i bought them from the sale section.
I think their discontinued.

No make up shopping is ever complete without any lipsticks! I ended up buying their new collection
The ELF moisturizing lipstick.
I had a lot of great expectations from these.
But I am a little disappointed...
I am highly impressed with the packaging, it looks very sleek and nice.
No doubt they're very moisturizing, they contain Shea, vitamins A C and E.
The thing that let me down was the pigmentation.
They're not as dark as they let on to be. you have to layer and layer and layer them to get even close to the color their supposed to be. Somehow ELF always lets me down with their lipsticks.
When you apply the lipstick it has a nice shine to it, but after some time the shine is gone. It just gives a strange washed off color. The lipstick does last about 2.5 hrs if your not eating or drinking in between, but you have to top it up after that time.

from the swatches you can see their not very pigment.
the names of the colors go from left to right:
Rosy go around
Coral cutie
Cheeky
Ravishing rose
Wink pink
Would i ever purchase them again? I don't think so.

At the end of the day i love ELF cosmetics, i haven't put up any pictures of their make up brushes, but i highly recommend their make up brushed! They're really affordable and they will last you ages!

Hope you guys enjoyed reading this post. Let me know what your thoughts are about their products.
See you next time!

Wet 'n wild, first impression and review

Wet 'n Wild, first impression and review

So first of all my apologies for taking such a long time to post a review, but now you will see alot more of me and my my posts!!

So a few weeks ago, my friend told me that she saw a Wet 'n wild stand in Dunnes stores in Athlone. I had to go there and see it myself to believe it! Well,.... i ended up buying quite a few things up there. Finally Wet ' n wil is available here, it is so hard to get your hands on brands like these over here.

So lets start with the lipsticks:
The packaging is very nice, sometimes just a little hard to open. The only thing i do not like about the packaging and the lipstick is that the top of the lipstick doesn't fully go in, the top is always visible, and sometimes when your putting the lid back on in a hurry you hit your lipstick, and that really damages the lipstick.

i picked up 5 colors, mostly pinks, reds, and purple shades.

Well i don't know why in the photo the colors do not look that intense, maybe its because of my camera, but you can see the packaging and what i was talking about.

I love all 5 the shades, these lipsticks are great!
The colors are very highly pigmented,  some lipsticks look sometimes different in the packaging and show up a whole different color when you actually apply them, well that does not happen with these lipsticks.

The lipsticks are a nice matt finish, thats what i really like about them.
They go on very smoothly on the lips, you do not have to rub them on.

I find that one layer is enough, you do not have to layer over and over to get the color, because they are highly pigmented.

I was actually surprised at the amount of time they actually lasted! They lasted me nearly 5-6 houres.
They do come of when you eat or drink, but even with that, they will still last you a good while.

so these are the swatches, starting from top to bottom the colors are:

1. E905D Smokin' hot pink, the name say's it all. A very nice hot pink.
2. E907C Mauve outta here, a very nice not to dark mauve color, compliments any skin tone.
3. E908C Sugar plum fairy, a very nice kind of a vampy colorm perfect for winter times.
4. E909D Cora-line, Anice coral color, finally a coral colored lipstick that suits my skin tone, a must buy for olive skin tones.
5. E910D Red velvet, a very nice red color lipstick, it gives a very nice matt finish.

So if there's lipsticks, them has to be a lipgloss aswell, so bought 1 lipgloss.
The lipgloss its self is very highly pigmented, you can wear the lipgloss on its own.
It dries to a nice matt finish.

The lipgloss does last long time on the lips.
What i did not like about it was, that when it starts coming of the lips, it looks like the lips are chapped and dry.
It looks horrible, and when you try to rub it of it doesn't rub off either, i ended up using olive oil to get it of my lips. i find it looks better when you apply a glossy lipgloss over it.

I picked up their eyeshadow palette E336 Spoiled brat:
The packaging is nice and plain, you can easily put it in your handbag, and take it anywhere.

The colors are highly pigmented, easy to use.
The eyeshadows are easy to blend.
They're perfect for a night look.
I love the shimmer in them, they're not over the board shimmery wich i like.
And they even have instructions on them, how to use them.

I've used them a few times now, and i love the way they go on, they do not go all over the place when you apply them.
Their definitely a must buy!

And last but not least, i went mental seeing their nailpolish range! Comparing to Essence, the prices were the same, but the quantity was alot more, and alot more choice, there were all types of nail polish.
I bought 3 colors from their Fast dry range.

The colors are amazing.
They definitely dry fast, sometimes to fast. you have to be really quik while applying them, or else you end up with smudged nailpolish.
They lasted on me for about 2 day's then, they started chipping off.

So thats my opinion about these products, let ne know what your thoughts are.
Until the next time, bye!
